Ich bin ein Berliner...

Door Tiany op 10/07/12

Last week I spent some days in Berlin, a totally wicked city with mostly hidden hotspots under bridges and behind trash cans. Well hello, doesn't this count as a description? Not really, so let's instead provide you with some real relevant information on one of the many amazing cities I once more had the chance to scout around.

While most ladies blogging about their life tend to travel in the good company of  their BF's (I still need the secret on that), I decided to take the mini me's to Berlin, which was a lot of fun and good for the mother-daughter bonding thing, as Berlin turns out to be the ideal city for buggy's and ice cream willing kids. However not entirely ideal when talking about outfit posting, as apparently my girls totally suck at taking pics of my 'wear-abouts' ;)

So here I am with absolutely no serious picures of what I wore during my days in Berlin. However, I do have a bunch of lovely places and some random pics taken of lovely Berlin to share with you and also some prove showcasing the yet not so developed photographic talents of my cute little daughters....

*To shop:

Andres Murkudis (Postdamer strasse) a very impressive shop selling beautiful fashion, beauty products and interieor design elements. Brands such as Balenciaga, Aspesi, Aésop, Maison Martin Margiela and so much more.

Sing Blackbird (Sanderstrasse 11) is a lovely vintage clothing shop which also houses a café (have some cake!). Prices are very reasonable and the selection is edited to perfection.

Garments (Linienstrasse 204) vintage galore for those who like well priced original frocks.

Apartment (Alexanderplatz) A Berlin Mitte classic and one of the most iconic fashion forward shops of the city, it's totally hidden and you'll probably not find it unless you know it exists

The Corner is probably the best place to shop if your totally into designer fashion and in the near surroundings of a lovingly and willing Sugar Daddy.

*To drink:

Cantina (Schiffbauerdamm 11), a hidden bar/place to be and eat an ideal if you wanna drink some mind-boggling cocktails with fancy names such as Miss Marmelade, Gentlemens' Agreement and 12 years later.

*To eat:

Dos Palillos if you like asian infused tapa's or Da Da Falafel for the best Falafel I've ever had...

*To brunch:

Malinikoff Café (Helmholzplatz) which is great for cakes and a coffee but also had these delicious 'plats du jour'.

*To sleep:

Casa Camper... indeed, totally related to the Spanish shoe brand Camper and according to me a great place to sleep. Think boutique hotel with lovely rooms containing all the amenities you need. Need a drink or midnight snack? No problemo, just head towards the top floor where besides a great view you'll be able to enjoy fresh snacks and drinks, 24/7 and as a guest totally for free.

Oderberger Strasse (nearby the Kastanienallee): you want lovely places to lunch or have dinner, search no more and just grab yourself a bike and take a ride to the Oderberger Strasse. Not only does this street sound sexy, it also houses some lovely spots to make your tummy feel happy again. Visit Café Krone (pie heaven), Bonanza Coffee Heroes (latte galore and more), Fleischmöbel (for a good beer or a glass of wine)

Check the unlike.net site of Berlin which really offers some great info on the various hotspots in this city.

Thanks to my mom for helping me with the mini's while working and Vanessa (my Berlin niece) & Rosalie for guiding us around...
