Le French Marriage

I attended a wedding in the lovely south of France during the last weekend of May. I can assure you the bride looked magnificent, the venue was mind-boggling, the guests were dressed to perfection and the party lasted all night long. My hubby and moi stayed at this amazing B&B in Ramatuelle, it pretty much reminded me of the movie 'Great Expectations', one of my all time favorite movies due to the amazing locations that are featured.

Many of you were wondering what the contents of my luggage was for the merry festivities and believe it or not I managed to convince my husband to make a couple of snaps of me to provide you with yet another outfit post, an international one that is. Not that he was hesitant, not at all... I just find it pretty weird to pose in front of him, it's a total state of shyness, which has me feeling all pubertal and stuff... go figure!

I didn't stick to just one dress as the festivities had a Black Tie continuation and therefor required something long. Although I could've happily lived in the amazabelles Paula Ka dress I managed to get my hands on this very pretty ACNE exemplar. The story to the pursuit of the ACNE Barika dress is quite something and after 367 phone calls, hours of searching the web and a certain degree of desperation... the solution came via the lovely Catarina Midby (H&M) and the ACNE headquarters in Stockholm... many thanks for your help and hereby the result.
