The JCDC encounter...

Door Tiany op 21/09/11

I know I'm a step or two, or perhaps even three too late on this one, but I somehow ended up taking a detour via New York & London, while my dear fellow blogsters already posted great stories about this very amusing encounter with mister Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

So lucky me it is, as I got this invitation for an amazing encounter with French creative soul Mr. Jean Charles de Castelbajac - the name on it's own seems to has  been designed to conquer the world... and he has, but then again if you're such a charming and down to earth explosion of creativity why wouldn't you.

Apparently, on the very first Kipling en JC/DC date, creations came along spontaneously and in a glimpse a complete range of Kipling bags both true to the DNA of Kipling and JC/DC were designed.  They're like a match made in heaven with elements of both brands mixed up to perfection.  I certainly fell for the leather pretty little bags

A select group of beautiful blogging ladies was invited to this unique little Parisian rendez-vous in the ateliers of Mr. JCDC in the Rue de Vauvilliers number 10,  just behind his conceptstore of total fashion fun. We had the chance to talk to the designer and had a bite & drink with fellow blogging ladies.

Check out the reports by the ab fab Alex and the sweet Miss Valentine

My deepest respect also to the very talented Miss Sophie from The Illustrated Nail, who for the event had created some amazong JC/DC inspired nails and treated us to our very own manicure of choice... her technique was mind boggling & totally precise. I've never ever had such great smurf looking cloudy nails before and wish she was somewhere around to have my manicure redone...

We also had the chance to nose around in his incredible archives, I could have stayed there and lived in his basement for ever after... but unfortunately I got hungry.... just joking, they found me and had me removed from the most amazing quirky archive I've ever seen.

ohh and GREAT news, lady Andy Torres from stylescrapbook.com will be relaunching her fabulous camera bag. The demand has been so huge, that Kipling decided to just continue with the collab... this means new colours will hit shops very soon... I'll keep you posted on this one!
