The most important is to believe in your dreams... I see life as a dream and that is what I want to give to my customers. Illusions are my reality.

The end!

Ohh babe don't cry I'll be back! They have doubled their viewers apparently because of me so... maybe Belmodo.tv is ready to pay a lot of money ready for me?? (I hope the message is clear:-)).

Ahhh!!! It's good to be back, I swear! Everything is glowing here. In my mail box I found a note this morning "It's too big for you pigeon hole so you'll find your present in the big black bag at your office". I just realized it's my birthday in a few days... but let's not go there ... (Peter Pan - syndrome).

But, look what was in the bag:

I have been looking for a leopard coat for ages. My friends know me so well, hmmm leopard for the winter ... leopard for the summer. For the little minded that think people are stupied enough to still kill animals and shout "murder" at me when I am just being fabulous with this coat, be aware! Now the fur is coming from proper farms from Denmark, Sweden or Norway. And over there everything is controlled.

But let's not hang out too much in the office... our accountancy lady is here and if I stay she will start to ask me too much questions. "How come you have spent € 100.000 in New York last week?", ahhhh get a life lady?!

Anyway, it's all about the crystal no??

Look at our dearest Narelle Doré. She and I were at school together and since then she is doing her own art. She is the expert of macramé and since a few months she can't stop experimenting with crystals! She is growing it on this rock since a few days.

It's like being in the sea... Narelle is extremely talented and she does her own blog too: Coated Arms. You will appreciate the lay out and the poetry behind it.

RA is always closed on Monday and Tuesday. So when we don't grow crystal on rocks we also sometimes do meeting. It's 11AM and I can't wait to see Andrea Cammarosano. He is coming to show us his collection and Anna & I can have a look and buy some styles.

Of course we immediately fell in love with this 'I will always love you' shirt! His collection deals with cowboys... but very sexy ones:

Ahhahaa our dear little Andrea! He was with Narelle and I at school. Poor teachers, no wonder why Walter has grey hair now. Bye bye darling Andrea!

Oh My God! I have to share this. I went out in Brussels yesterday. I found a beautiful creature ahahahahaaaaaa...

It's all we love. It makes me think that I didn't invite you yet to our next party! How rude of me!

This Saturday we are celebrating our 2 years anniversary and Anna & I would love to have you in RA! From 23:00 until ... who knows ... Kloosterstraat 13, 2000 Antwerpen!

Of course Anna did the flyer! So cute. And I did the flyer for our private sales, it's more this style ahahahahahaaaa:

More.. MOI let's say lol! Please be welcome during the stock sales in Antwerp! It will be from October 19th until the 21st of October included. Two spaces and some really good and cheap piece. I also would like to invite you to my next performance in Paris, I will be showing what you don't want to wear next summer.

Check the Facebook page for my performance in Paris.

And if you can't make it to Paris then please come and support the best charity of Belgium ... "Les Petits Riens" where I will also present my creations. Before I say ADIEU to you! I wanted to end this series by presenting you someone very important in RA, Manu De Ridder ...

Manu & I connect really well and he is making sure everything goes well in RA. If you miss our post, I would suggest you subscribe right now to the RA newsletter: www.ra13.be

You will know everything about our parties, exhibitions, special dinners (don't forget the Thursday dinner with Hadas!!! Only € 10 for a starter and a main course) and all the beautiful pieces of art we are having within the stop.

Thank you Belmodo.tv for inviting us to write to your amazing readers! And don't forget. Put make-up on your faces. Wear heels and have fun. Because if you don't, then no-one will do it for you!

Day 7 + 1

OOOOOOOOOOO MMMMMYYYYYYYYY GGGGOOOOOODDD!!! What a plus +1! When I say I wanted to go back to Antwerp I really meant it but perhaps not really in the rain. A big clash to the reality. The rain ... the Thalys which is usually 30 minutes late. But I was too tired and I needed something more comfortable, something like our little RAAnna left with her boyfriend to relax somewhere in France and I felt I had to crash somewhere too, my home! But I couldn't go home before a little visit to our little RA

Taxi! Stop. It's here where the lights are full of colors and where people smoke cigarettes on the terrace. I could also smell the great smells from the kitchen. Oh yeah it's true, the autumn menu is on. Every 3 months the menu changes and this one looks like it's going to be amazing. I will do a proper post about our kitchen, it really is a special kitchen.

This is Hadas and Labsam, they are the best team. Did you ever come to the Thursday diner @ RA?

I forgot that we still have the exhibition from Cosmic Wonder in the gallery. It's in two parts, you have the corridor with a sound experience and after the famous balloon dress with the neon installation. The exhibition will go until this Wednesday. So hurry up if you didn't see it!

Close to the gallery they did a little Cosmic Wonder corner, with the new styles for this winter! Ohlalala ... Winter allready. Can you imagine! And at the entrance of the shop some cute faces. Miss Christie (who was in my bed in Paris a few days ago) and the sexy Yves.

I think I don't have any pictures of Christie without her phone. At the bar it was good to see Yu Wie. He is preparing me a strong fresh fruit juice because I need some power.

Let me show you our shop if you don't know it!

Ohhh!!! Yes of course! I am gone 3 weeks and I forget about everything. Narelle Dore is doing a beautiful rock in the shop to present her dresses close to the installation. I hope it will be finished tomorrow then I can show you her final result.

You should see those colours in real: it's not real! It's like we found what was the base of a rainbow. She is growing crystal on the rock. And everyday during a few weeks the rock will change and grow. I can't tell how beautiful her dresses are, when you are in front of her work you forget all the rest.

Let's have lunch now! Cedric Jacquemyn (men's designer) is coming to join me for lunch. We need to talk business!

We are both tasting the new menu ... ahahaha so good! Let me share what we've been eating:

Cedric started with a steamed barley with a selection of mushrooms cooked in cocoa butter and herbs and for the main he took the mixed flour pizza of the week. Hummm and me, I had corn on the cob with Indian chilli salt, lemon, juice and butter. And after I took the pasta with oven baked pumpkin, roasted hazelnuts, chilli and lemon oil, parmesan. Just to talk again about it I'm starving.

It's only on Thursday and Friday that we are open in the evening otherwise you are welcome from Wednesday to Sunday to have lunch with us and the breakfast during the weekend.

I have a meeting now, I need to leave you my dear friends ... in a week next Saturday it will be RA's 2 years anniversary. I need to prepare this properly!

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Daniel Lee

British fashion designer Daniel Lee studied at both the London College of Fashion and Central St. Martins before gaining industry experience in the ateliers of Balenciaga, Giles Deacon and Meadham Kirchhoff and now settling in New York City. Daniel's collections have been defined by a hyper-technical approach to sculptural knitwear and more recently his Masters collection consisted of artfully draped checked dresses and screen-printed jacquards.

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Pierre-Antoine Vettorello

French fashion designer Pierre-Antoine Vettorello has crafted a dark and immediate style that is punctuated by brash symbolism and an aggressive feminity. Having graduated from Antwerp's fashion academy in 2010 and honing his craft at Balenciaga, he will once again present his namesake collection with us in Paris for SS2012.

Day 7 in Paris

Dear Day 7 in Paris! The last day of my entire week! I must admit yesterday I went out. I decided that dead or not I would go crazy. "Dancing on tables" and "drinking a lot" were the key words of my night. But I won't go through all the details, I'm not so proud... and I don't remember a lot!

On this beautiful day 7 I decided that I shouldn't have breakfast at the hotel but instead on a terrace with one of my childhood friends and it's on my way there that I saw this beautiful girl. She was so sweet! I could have eaten her instead of my morning croissant! And I fell in love with her hair! She is a singer in Paris and she was on her way to see Jean Paul Lespagnard. What a coïncidence. Me too!

The showroom of Jean Paul was more then a showroom. A lot of his artpieces that he presented in Brussels a month ago were als in the showroom. The all world of Jean Paul was here to seduce us and to explain us the collection.

Obviously dealing with basketball.

The weather started to change and Paris was crying at the end of the fashion week. The cold wind was telling us to get of here. I had to go back to the showroom of Ann-Sofie Back. Where Jesus was waiting for us. Such a beautiful boy this Jesus:

He is one of the designers from the 'atelier'-line of Ann-Sofie Back. The Line Atelier is the catwalk collection, really amazing organdy silk with drapped jersey and wonderful wool. But it was hard to be concentrated. I didn't know Jesus was gay! Anyhow. Ann-Sofie Back was our last appointment. So Anna and I could finally go shopping.

Ohh sorry guys you'll be disappointed on this one. We didn't go to Le Bon Marché to find the last leather piece from Rick Owens. No! We are not like that. When we go shopping it's more to build our dream piece. And mine will be gold.

Anna and I are doing our own labels and right now I am working on a very veryyyyyyyyy golden jacket. Talking about gold, I think I forgot to talk about the golden crystal dress from Craig Lawrence. A real jewel! All knitted with a crystal yarn. We will get it in December this way my lovelies, you will be able to wear it for New Year's Eve or Christmas. Or to go out with the girls. Me, I will for sure!

And talking about going out! I was still in the mood. I had to pass by to see my dear friend Giulia Arnoux at the Face Bar. Giulia is single since a few weeks and she is eating all of Paris right now. I don't know anybody like her. She is happy and jumps everywhere and loves to make sure everyone is happy around her.

And tonight it's like she wants to share a lot I guess ... David LaChapelle had Pamela Anderson ... me, I have Giulia Arnoux.

And my little Cyrille joined us. He is a happy one too. It's always like this at the Face Bar. Just pop-in and enjoy.

But after a few sushis I was ready to hit the night. We went to the show of Manish Arora for Paco Rabanne.

The show was really crazy but the party was WOW! I usually never close the night club but somehow I needed to put a final point to my week. Doing my sex face at 'Le Renard' club, it's a new place in Paris not bad at all! Wish me good night...

Bye bye Paris ... Good morning Antwerp ... Tomorrow I'll be sharing my first crazy time back in Antwerp.

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Zoe Vermeire

Ghent-native Zoe Vermeire won rave reviews at her 2011 graduation show at Brussels' La Cambre academy. The 23-year-old fashion designer was inspired by the dignity of queens and empowering clothes. She showed beautifully tailored coats with an oversized fit focusing on a restrained palette of reds, greys and cream.

Kimono shapes and flared cocktail sleeves helped define a louche yet elegant aesthetic, which will be exhibited for the first time with RA for SS2012. Click this link for more information on Zoe Vermeire!

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Jerome Walter Gueguen

French video artist Jeromé Walter Gueguen lives between Paris and Bologna, and creates multimedia works across cinema, photography and performance art. His work in progress 'Transe Media' deals with the idea of post-apocalyptic rediscovery of television and digital media, and the related innocence of his protagonists. Gueguen will collaborate on an exclusive new video with the fashion designer Romain Brau for the RA exhibition SS12.

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Myrza De Muynck

Dutch fashion designer Myrza de Muynck is a recent Masters graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, where she presented her collection 'poverty de luxe' with fruit-embroidered, quilted, metallic, and colour-blocked shell suit ensembles. "The girl is naughty, sexy, and a tad boyish but looks like a real lady".

Day 6 in Paris

It feels like I am writing the bible! On day 6 in Paris Anna and Romain were still crossing the desert with their donkey and they didn't had water for 4 days and food for a month... It might be dramatic but it's a bit how I felt at the end of the famous day 6! But all good stories start with a good surprise. It's Christie! Under the blanket my little Christie Fels was sleeping very softly. You should have seen her! An angel in my cloud.

I secretly ordered two 'petit dejeuners' to wake her up in a correct French way with the great smell of butter from 'the croissant'.

Christie is our online shopmanager, she is from Cape Town in South Africa. She is a very important person in our team and she loves to realize miracles. Some of our clients like to call her the magician of RA! You want platform shoes from Rodarte? Pffff! 4 days later shipped from Belgium to Jakarta! You got it babe. She is probably making sure that one of our Korean clients received his 6 fur coats this morning...

That was a nice way to start my day, but talking about surprise; Mister Pierre Renaux... he just finished the 3rd year with a crazy slutty collection where you definitely understand the vision that he has of women. Or the woman he would like to be! But this morning Pierre and are sharing our love for Gareth Pugh. Especially this amazing coat that Pierre is holding. With just one click you pump-up the coat with a mini fan. This is definitely available at RA Antwerp and RA La Corderie in a few months. How could we live without a pumping coat from Gareth?

I could see Anna dancing in the streets, practising her electronic yoga moves? Hum no! Trying to re-invent the macarena maybe? Or some crazy Russian traditional dance in the middle of the road. Oh dear! Of course. She was trying to cat a taxi. IN PARIS! Nothing weird about it when I saw in my planning that our next appointment was RODARTE. Rodarte drives women crazy (like we just saw with Madame Anna Kushnerova), they are number one in New York.

They are dressing the biggest stars of the world and they are on the cover of the New York Times right now for NY fashion week. It's in one of the famous palaces of Paris that we shared the bed of Laura (one of the Rodarte sisters) to know more about the collection. Look how happy Anna is with this amazing piece of embroidery.

For the ones that missed the show: Laura is happy to show us her favourit silhouette, top, belt and skirt! Ravishing! Coming to RA in January of course... hihihi...

Right now with Maria from Moon Spoon Saloon... such a great label. When Copenhagen meets Los Angeles. Those guys can't stop it! So avantgarde, so extreme. We love them! And I am crazy about the shoes, I just got them for myself in light colours.

God the sun is burning and falling on us. The feeling of crossing the desert is coming to my mind. After looking for hours in Paris for a street and then the right door to enter. That brings you to the second right door where you need to invent a code because you don't know and then to climb 90 floors. That we finally met Creatures of the Wind!

I gave all my energy to climb those stairs but the simple vision of one of their dresses made me feel strong for the rest of my week. A really cute couple! So sweet and so pretty. But this dress. Look at this dress!!! As you can see Kristopher the main designer is sharing his excitement about it too.

But it's a sad end of the day! Monday 3rd was the end of the RA exhibition/showroom. And to see the sad faces of our friends/participants was really killing my heart.

My last kisses went to Sanne Schepers. She is from Maastricht and she is the winner of 'Lichting' the famous Dutch Fashion Competition. Her dresses taste like Elixir! All done by hand with the placement of ribbons and all pure silk, a true dream. Those dresses will arrive in a few days at RA in Antwerp. And it's our biggest pleasure to work on a special order for Paris in January. Sanne will work on a more couture direction. I can't wait to see the result!

8PM: I am dead alone on a terrace thinking 'What a day', happy to join a friend for diner and run to my bedroom.

DRinnggggggggg! DRingggggggg! DDDDDRRRRIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG! What?
Romain it's Kuki! It's amazing! Europe A - the best radio of France - wants to do a live-interview with you in Hotel Costes in 20 minutes!'

What can I do about that? It's like some on comes over to you and says: 'Do you want to eat caviar tonight?' And you know you're not hungry...

For caviar and for an interview at Europe 1, RA will push its energy limits and will run to it! It was so much fun! It went so good that they want to have a story about how the shop is doing every week until the opening end of January.

This was day 6 in Paris with Anna and Romain your new best friends! Don't cry tomorrow is day 7 ... and 7 is 7 .... and normally after 7 there is 8 but we never saw a week of 8 days did we???? Maybe RA will tell you all about his first day back in Antwerp. Where everything is soft and calm. And people so crazy!

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Dahc Dermur 8

Via New York, performance and multimedia artist Chadd Curry channels an industrial-goth persona through an androgynous, alien-esque appearance - shattering stereotypes and promoting self expression and unity through the contrast of dark and light mediums. Having collaborated with fellow extremist creatives from Rick Owens to Cyndi Lauper, Chadd AKA Dahc Dermur 8 lives and breathes a finely-tuned elemental symbolism that is reflected in his site-specific art - a wholistic experience of performance, photography, music, clothing and video.

Dahc Dermur will perform a butoh-influenced dance within a layered rigid sharp glass cell within the RA downstairs dungoen, with scenography and lighting by Cedric Etienne of Mood Studio.

Day 5 in Paris

Ahh Paris Paris Paris... why do we love you so much? So tender and romantic! But seriously, I'm missing Antwerp! First thing in the morning, I had to go to the RA exhibition to check if there was some glasses or dead people in front of the door. The party was really wild yesterday and I just wanted to make sure that everything was fine. And thank God it was the case!

I also wanted to make sure that the videos of Chadd Curry were working properly. Our poor friend had to stay in London, he couldn't make it to Paris and I really wanted to help him to show his great work in Paris. His fan club was pretty hysterical yesterday night. We had people staying hours in his room. You can see his videos by clicking here and here

After checking every corner of the exhibition Anna grabbed me in the street eating an ice cream bigger then her face to go and buy the collection of Meadham Kirchhoff

I got blind this morning by so much beauty. This is official! RA will be stocking the most beautiful and most expensive piece since we started.

If you again think "who on earth would were that?" Let me just tell you something, bitch! If you think you are clever with your jeans and your high boots and your cashmere cardigan you are wrong! No wonder no-one likes you... because with this dress you won't wear to impress but just to express. This is a part of a dream and vision that was created by the most talented designers in England, they understand women on their best moment and they want to drag them on their highest levels.

Anyway ... After a very hysterical moment with the dream dress we ran to Cosmic Wonder. We are very close to them and since years now their presentations in Paris are very famous. It's in their showroom that I finally met Kinocchi and Kiku. They do the patterns (on the left) and the marketing (right). We are now doing an exhibition in the RA gallery in Antwerp. You should check it out! It is still on until October 15th.

Then after we went to Galerie Vivienne to visit our Antwerp friends. First Helena Lumelsky with her family. We couldn't control it and we had to buy some beautiful evening dresses from her for the future shop in Paris.

A few meters next to Helena we went to see Heaven Tanudiredja, he is the pinnacle of high craziness in jewelry! Full gold structure with crystal embroideries. Heaven was with us in class in the Academy and in his second year he left for Paris to work at the Haute Couture at Dior. After he worked at Cavalli. Then after working at Dries Van Noten he realised he had to start his own accessory collection. And now he is one of the best in what he does, and all made in Antwerp! Ohhhh Yeahhhhh!!

Running late for the presentation of Kenzo. But my friends are here and I can't say hi to them. Beautiful smile from the best team of Vogue Italia! I love them and they did a lot for RA.

So hop hop hop! Kenzo here we go. Like you should know Kenzo is now designed by the same designers from Opening Ceremony. We really love them, they also carry few designers that we support in their shop. Like Hous of Matching Colours by Paula Selby.

A few looks that you might find at RA in a few months. After we went to see Eliza Palomino and Justin Smith Esquire... in a beautiful salon in a high class hotel. Couture moment:

And after then I was on my best, dying in my appartement. The only thing I wanted to see was this! My Paris!

See you tomorrow! xxxx Romain.

Day 4 in Paris

Hmmmm so good to sleep more than 4 hours today! I must admit I am a bit scared of today. The party opening of tonight will be heavy. I just got the confirmation of Pernod for the bar and they accepted to cover the event! It's going to be absinthe all over Paris tonight.

Just before, we are going to start with the shoes from Opening Ceremony. I want to visit my friend Etienne Doereux. It's his first collection and I was surprised to discover very mature work for a first one. Etienne studied with us in Antwerp and he also did few years in La Cambre in Brussels.

How to say no to this? The pony skin is burnt and forms a snake pattern. When you touch it, it gives a great feeling. After taking it easy in Le Marais we decided to splash ouselves in "Rendez Vous" a very big fair where all the commercial/edgy fashion is presented and great collections... We are having an appointment with Mikio Sakabe

This print was dragging me to heaven... a simple jersey with a central print and all around the red flower is a beautiful embroidery. It's a try-out for a t-shirt!

Driinnnnnnnngggg drinnnnnngggg!!!!!! "Guys where are you???"
"At Rendez-Vous, why?"
"You are late"
"Fuck, Jutta?? I am so sorry!"

Magic carpet and hop... house of fun at Bernhard Willhelm

Hello you ... Jutta Kraus, Bernhard's accomplice. They just arrived from Mexico and Anna and I really wanted to get few dresses for the Parisian shop. Magic patterns! The way they drape and cut is really unique. The famour 'carré' pattern. And some tie-dye here and there! We will never stop loving the work of Bernhard and Jutta. Accept the fact that Jutta looks onfire today and I really wanted to show you their beautiful little garden on there roof!

After lunch we had to go to visit Hui-Hui the Antwerp designer, two sisters from Germany. She just gave birth! Her daughter made me forget I was in the middle of Paris Fashion Week. I just wanted to play with her nonstop. So beautiful. A beautiful little dress from Hui-Hui.

After this appointment I had to run to order ice cubes, glasses, dj-set and all the rest to make a great and strong party. What a beautiful bar! Every time Pernod is supporting us. It's always such an honour to work with them. Here are a few pictures of the party:

Rad Hourani and Elisabeth came to visit us. Oure Japanese friends with Sayaka and Anna.

And what's your name????:-) Plus La bellissima Violaine.

Ffriends!!! With shiny eyes...

Antwerp Academy power... Mikio Sakabe, Helena Lumelsky, Demna Gvasalia and Jen Fang.

Mister X Factor England and our famous Tracy Sedino from Linda Farrow.

I love our neighbours... they are just pretty cool.

On the scooter of Serkan Cura with the team of Jean-Paul Gaultier and Balenciaga. If you want to know what I am wearing ... Bernhard Willhelm of course!

xxx. tot morgen.

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Anna Kushnerova

Hailing from Siberia, Antwerp-based fashion designer Anna Kushnerova's work crosses into the boundaries of costume, while projecting an abstract image that challenges the codes of fashion. For SS12, Anna will present a womenswear study, comprising of seven silhouettes that take inspiration from the Ballet Russes "Rite of Spring" and the avant-garde fashions of the 1920s. Her garments reflect the ethnic costume of characters such as Scheherazade and La Perlouse.

Day 3 in Paris

Let me sleep! I knew it was a bad idea to drink cocktails all night long at Silencio. Silencio is the new bar of David Lynch. So a big hangover was joining me this Friday morning. A single look at my planning put me right back in place ... Romain! You are here for work.

10AM "eatable of many orders" was our first appointment. Beautiful bag in leather and wood! Really amazing pieces, when leathers and wood-goods meets art.

Ohhh!!! So beautiful! Koji Arai "eatable of many orders" was with us at school. He was graduating when I was in my first year. Now he collaborates with Yoko on their line.

This is Yoko, with her amazing shoes with a turning ball in wood within the heel. We received them at RA for this winter. If you want to see it close click here.

After we had to run to a show... Charlie Le Mindu. We like what he does, he normally presents in London but this time he came back to where he belongs, la France.

A show full of surprises...

And for the finale! L'incroyable and unique Rossy De Palma! The muse for years of Jean-Paul Gaultier and Pedro Almodovar.

After this hysterical moment full of shaved pussy, kilos of hair stripes on sexy dresses and Orlan, Pam Hogg, Julien Fournier, Jean Paul Cauvin, Kapauff and all the other best freaks of Paris we had to run to the lunch party of the London Showroom. The best showroom in Paris during women's fashion week. Nice music, good food and all their designers close to their work.

First we went to meet James Long, he does mainly menswear but since two seasons women's as well. We couldn't say no to this beautiful sequin dresses. How amazing and precious is this dress???? I want it now! I'm not going to be able to wait until January. This dress will only go to Paris for sure!

My little Anna with her big eye! After the James Long episode, we found Simone Rocha! Simone is stocked in all the best and egiest shops of Paris. We are very happy to work with her, of course when we saw those shoes we just went for it! Just like that! Paffffff!

Ooohh my Loulou! Friends! This is Louise Gray! The original color player. This girl is one of the most talented designers we have in the shop. Her vision of clothing and dressing is unique. Louise is wearing a beautiful silk chiffon top in red that we selected for the shops.

And then at the end of the day... Bless! We did a very secret order for the new shop in Paris! Only one piece edition. Crazyyyyyyy.

I arrived in the new shop redecorated since the end of the Biennale in Arnhem where RA and Bless and many others were presenting an exhibition about fashion. How to end a day! A cocktail of course. And it's at Mykita sunglasses cocktail that I met the designers and their team and this great exhibition. But then it's time to go and close the RA exhibition. Everyone was happy, some nice shops came to visit us. Obviously everyone is waiting for the big opening party tomorrow!

Ohh Zoé! Zoé Vermeire ... those shoes, we need to find a way to produce them. Women will scream to get them. NOW! I close the door, and I need to run to eat something. It's time to eat! A little couscous at Homar in Rue de Bretagne and hop ... hmmmm ....

I hope tomorrow I will have some more fun pictures from our week in Paris.

Million of kisses

RA Showroom SS2012 feat. Yuima Nakazato

The Sleek, futuristic creations of Tokyo-based designer Yuima Nakazato could be labelled 'cyber-couture', being costume pieces, shoes and jewellery handsculpted from unusual fabrics and metals. Having graced the form of Lady Gaga, Yuima was pinpointed by stylist Nicola Formichetti as one of Japan's hottest new talents. He has recently expanded his impressive repertoire to include menswear.

Day 2 in Paris

Miaaw Miawww!!!! Beautiful Paris ... the sun is shining!!! So I will go for my naked look! ANNNNNNNAAAAAAA!!! Wake up my love! Yoga & meditation. Anddddd Rad Hourani! 10 AM: Mister Rad was doing his eternal joke of 'No! I won't open the door. My collection is not ready!' Ahahahah I love his little face!!!

Finally a bit of blue in his work. It was really beautiful... We still have his beautiful leather jackets in RA so for our new order we went for something more 'chic' and summery! And then we took our magic carpet to fly to the Valery Demure showroom ... Swash, Elya Fleet, Amor Ir ...; our accessories paradise.

We also spotted some very beautiful sunglasses. I can imagine Tiany naked under a black jersey cape with just these sunglasses... from Amor Ir of course! We just received his winter collection in RA a few days ago. Oh and here a gorgeous bag from Elya Fleet.

The leather is so amazing you can't say no! It is just the perfect size for an iPad.

Let's say it was an accessory morning! We were expected at Arielle De Pinto showroom after. Always eating chocolats and talking about weird artists that cross the ocean with a plastic boat. Arielle is very inspiring for us. We have the same age and we all work hard for what we love. It's such a pleasure to discover her beautiful pieces in gold and silver and the amazing semi-precious stones.

After a very nice lunch around the corner of our RA exhibition, we decided to visit some of our exhibitors to order some beautiful stuff. Myrza Demuynck just graduated from Central St.Martins' School and she is exhibiting her work with us this season. She does amazing embroderies on silky trainers. Crazy work I must say!

Close to Myrza we went to see Pierre-Antoine Vettorello. This young French boy just arrived from New York where he just showed his collection. Pierre-Antoine was together with Anna and myself at school. He is a close friend and we are crazy about his work. Here is Anna wearing one of his latest hats. Just amazing...

It was really nice to visit our own showroom today, we always try to support the young designers that we meet all around the world and by organizing this exhibition in Paris we have the opportunity to regroup everyone in one place. How great is that for RA! We can take time to talk with them and touch their creations and work with them.

After this second day of work I wanted to show you one beautiful picture of the show from Gareth Pugh we went to see yesterday:

I had to sit close to the photographers to get such a nice picture. I really loved the show. It was a good mix of his first experimental work with the maturity that he got after those years.

And what do we do in Paris when we worked all day and feel dead? We go an have a drink in the best bar of Le Marais which is ... Le Face Bar

My darling friend Cécile David, one of the best stylists in Paris joined me together with Daniel Lee. Daniel is an exhibitor at the RA showroom. They had an R'nB party all evening long. It was really cool! I guess the girl on the left is a bit bored though:-)

Day 1 in Paris

Ding Ding DONGGGG!!! Out of the hotel with a bunch of enveloppes giving me my schedule for the day!!! TAXI!!! Damir Doma show baby, Anna and I ran to Cité de l' Architecture et du Patrimoine where Damir was presenting his summer collection for women. We love to follow Damir even if we only focus on his mens collection that fits perfectly women and men.

Beautiful show with amazing fabrics as usual (of course Samuel Drira from Encens Magazine put the level higher with an amazing styling!). I could not stop thinking to go back to the RA exhibition/showroom though! We are setting up the showroom since a week in Paris. It all started with Paula Selby, Florian Mermin and Myrska Demuynck... Nail? Hammer!!! Scissors?? Ahhhhhhh ....

Sayaka Yamamoto and her boyfriend Boas preparing her wall for the RA exhibition

The preparation is always very stressful, we try to please everyone but with a big artists/designers group like this it's always going so crazy! The press pictures will leave this evening at 7PM. I can feel the pressure growing!

Daniel Lee opening his suitcase! He just arrived from London and is really tired

Zoé Vermeire, preparing her beautiful presentation with the help of her very sexy brother

The shows for today: Damir Doma, Gareth Pugh and I hope I am going to make it for Jean Paul L'Espagnard

It's around 6PM and we need to run to the show of Gareth Pugh... I can't wait to see it! I will send pictures later on and I am sure you will love it!

Around 8PM we went to an amazing ballet performance at the Opéra Garnier... nothing to do with fashion but we did find a way to connect to it! Some Just Smith Esquire, Comme des Garçons vintage, Stephen Jones and some Hide H.A. and a touch of Haider Ackermann made it happen.

A perfect time at the Opéra Garnier for "Phedre"' costumes and decors by Jean Cocteau! Magnificent!!! Mic Eaton from Material Boy, Anna and myself.

Wearing some Elside Getlliffe and my favourite turban by Justin Smith Esquire!!

A perfect first day at Paris Fashion Week!
