NYFW: Eugene Souleiman for Wella

Door Tiany op 19/02/12

I met Eugene somewhere last year while he was doing his Wella hair magic for the Haider show. Guess I instantaneously got mistified by his handling of hair and the great smile and joie de vivre this man brings along. His precense fills the backstages and in between his concentrated moments he actually manages to have fun, or so it seems. You must know that it's a hard knock life when working the backstages. At a certain point the Fashion Week galore seems to be endless and tiredness kicks in after almost the very first shows. Still, every time I bump into Eugene he seems to be having the time of his life, working passionately on creating the prettiest hair creations ever.... So respect to that! And viva Eugene, can I please have some champagne as I would love to toast to that!

His team also consists of a bunch of very talented & hard working people that Eugene just seems to motivate into working even harder, it's perfection if you ask me and I love it!

Twice the sleek hair… Seen chez DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger. It’s once more Eugene I meet backstage working his magic for Wella creating a sleek and fresh & clean look. According to him it’s an all classical American look that we’ll also be seeing on the streets this summer. It’s easy, always sophisticated and a great way to getting all those lovely hair accessories out there.

How to:

* Start with freshly washed hair.

* Spray on some Wella Professionales Velvet Amplifier on your wet hair and add some Wella Porfessionals Perfect Setting before blow drying your locks with a round brush to obtain the sleek finish you'll need.

* Create a deep side parting, smooth your locks down and spray on some of the fabulous Wella Professionals Perfect Stay Essential hairspray. A light structure hairspray which is great to add some natural shine and which keeps those little loose hairs from flying around.

* Pull the hair back behind the ears, secure the hair into a low pony tail, use a barette clip to keep it wide and flat.

* Use a straightning iron to obtain an immaculte pony tail and to finish of, just spray on some more Wella Professionals Perfect Stay Essential hairspray to hold the look in place.
