NYFW: Lacoste... I think I LOVE you...

Door Tiany op 15/02/12

I've been obsessed with the legendary brand Lacoste and even more ever since Felipe Oliveira Baptista was assigned to design it. His aesthetics is cleancut but heavenly sexy and it's been pleasing the entire fashionworld for a while now. His 2nd Lacoste collection -the fall winter 2012 edition- was all about taking some references of traditional Lacoste skiwear and molding it into his signature style.

Leigh Lezark & Josephine de la Baum

In an amazing winter scenery Oliveira presented a collection that was a mix of a retro theme and ultra modern & feminine silhouettes with every now and then geometric graphics as a pattern along the collection. A mixture of  leather, wool, tweed, lycra structures and lightly quilted fabrics were styled into an elegant clean cut collection. I particularly fell totally in love with the open zipped sleeves that  created a cape-like effect and had totally drooled over the muted color palette which included blues, grays and whites  and a classy touch of accents such as camel and red.

I had the chance to speak to Felipe who told me he felt delighted about being able to give the iconic brand Lacoste his very own touch.
